Sustainability is not just a choice of materials and production conditions. At Underprotection, we believe that sustainability and loving and taking care of one's things go hand in hand. There are many parameters to consider in relation to the sustainability of a product, and we try to consider the entire cycle from production to degradation of materials. This also includes the time the product lives with you at home. The most sustainable thing you can do as a consumer is to consume wisely and wash and care for the things you acquire properly. Therefore, we recommend that you always find out how to best take care of your products from Underprotection, so that they live as long as possible.

TENCEL™ LYOCELL
To best care for your garment and the environment, we recommend that you wash at a 30-degree programme with a mild laundry detergent, preferably nontoxic or biodegradable.
Your garment is likely to shrink by 3-5% after washing, but you can regain near original shape by ironing or steaming it.
To protect the environment and the garment, always dry naturally and in the shade.
RECYCLED POLYESTER
To best care for your garment and the environment, we recommend that you wash at a 30-degree programme with a mild laundry detergent, preferably nontoxic or biodegradable.
Washing synthetic fibers like recycled polyester releases microfibers that end up in the water system and disturbs the natural eco system. To best avoid this, we recommend washing all of your synthetic fabrics in a Guppy Friend Bag. The bag captures the released micro fibers, so you can dispose of them responsibly.
ORGANIC COTTON
To best care for your garment and the environment, we recommend that you wash at a 30-degree programme with a mild laundry detergent, preferably nontoxic or biodegradable.
Your garment is likely to shrink by 3-5% after washing. Washing your cotton at a low temperature prevents it from shrinking any further.
To protect the environment and the garment, always dry naturally and in the shade.
RECYCLED WOOL
The presence of lanolin in wool causes it to be self-cleaning. This means that you don’t have to wash your wool items very often, which is good for your garment and the environment.
Should your garment attract an odour, simply hang it up to damp while you shower, or let it hang outside for a couple of hours.
If the piece is stained and you wish to wash it, you can do so with a special wool detergent on a wool programme. If you wash by hand make sure the water is no more than 30 degrees.
RECYCLED POLYAMIDE
To best care for your garment and the environment, we recommend that you wash at 30-degree programme with a mild laundry detergent preferably nontoxic or biodegradable.
Washing synthetic fibers like recycled polyamide releases microfibers that end up in the water system and disturbs the natural eco system. To best avoid this, we recommend washing all of your synthetic fabrics in a Guppy Friend Bag. The bag captures the released micro fibers, so you can dispose of them responsibly.
BRA MEASUREMENT
To find the most accurate size you have to do two measurements, A: bust and B: band. Do the measurements on your bare skin. Start off by measuring all the way around your bust where it’s widest. Then measure all the way around just under your bust. We have plus sizes for mostly all of our bra’s to make sure that bigger busts can fit our bras. When a size is plus size the underband stays the same and the size of the cup will go a size up; for example a size S+ has an underband that fits a regular size S and the cup size fits a regular size M. Be aware that it’s meant for you to start out using the outer buckle of the hook and eye closure first. Then you can adjust and tighten when the underband elastic gets looser.

BOTTOM MEASUREMENT
To find your most accurate size you have to do two measurements, A: waist and B: hip. Do the measurements on your bare skin. Start off by measuring all the way around your waist where it’s narrowest. Then measure all the way round your hip where it's widest.
Wanna know the tricks for measuring? Always measure on bare skin and not over clothing. This will give you the best and most accurate result. When we are talking measurements we mean the measures you have and not the lingerie, swimwear or loungewear. Always measure yourself and then use the results to find the perfect size in the wanted style.
